wp-utterquotes
March 25th, 2006
I’ve modified the wp-quotes plugin from www.zombierobot.com to include data from:
witty,
bushisms (www.wordswasted.org) who developed it from an idea of Valerie at spoke-for.org
deepthoughts, and
simpsons
I’ve used Rick Dooling’s mod of wp-quotes to add a topic/category field to the data table.
I took a concept to display a daily quote from ___.
I took the idea of displaying an image of the author from the simpsons plugin. All you need is an image with the same name as the author you entered in the data table. And right now, it has to be a gif file.
Kimili and ZapImgPopup
January 14th, 2006
These 2 plugins interfere with each other. When Kimili is activated, the ZapImgPopup doesn’t work. When deactivated, it works. Kimili is to be used with the Simple Viewer image viewer that I set up fer helping a friend. I couldn’t get the Kimili code to work in a Post, so I used Redirectify. That worked.
Acronyms-revisited plugin
January 10th, 2006
Having read a post in the WP support forum called People Plugin, I thought I would reactivate this plugin to refresh my memory of how it works. Here is an example for the acronym AOL. The plugin create a link to the acronym and pops up a link title.
What the user wanted was a people database, such that when you clicked on a person’s name, it would popup a window with a picture and description for that person.
I found an avatar-popup plugin that would popup an image (or avatar).
I also found a gravatar plugin.
I also found some php scripts for managing a personnel database. <== This is what he wants.
Plugin conflict
January 2nd, 2006
The plugin WP-Advanced-Stats interferes with Plogger. It doesn’t look like the stats plugin is being worked on, so I will look for another.
Flashfader

The latest version 1.1.1 is not needed. I installed it and it messed up my blog.
